Meetings are held once a month at Ystradgynlais
Library at 7pm on the first Thursday of each month.
We have many members with no direct ancestral link with Ystradgynlais but join
us to hear speakers
talk on a variety of subjects. The past has seen speakers talk on the history
of St Cynog's church, wills,
newspapers and how to use them for family history and researching businesses.
Trips have also been
organized so that members could visit the various Archive Office's and Libraries
to further their research.
The workshop evenings allow researchers to gain
knowledge about a specific subject and allow time for
research to be done with the topic related recourses.
